Cambodia and France have pledged to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, education, health, energy, culture, and the environment. The commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and French Ambassador Olivier Richard at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.
Ambassador Richard emphasized the long-standing partnership between the two nations and expressed readiness to work closely with Cambodian ministries to advance relations. He highlighted France’s intent to expand cooperation for mutual prosperity.
Prime Minister Hun Manet congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment, expressing confidence that his tenure would strengthen government-to-government, private sector, and people-to-people exchanges. He also thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for supporting efforts to maintain peace along the Cambodia–Thailand border, reaffirming Cambodia’s commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue and international law.
