Ryanair is leading with aggressive pricing, offering September and October flights starting at £14.99 on routes like London to Castellon, Barcelona, and Valencia. Prices in November and December are slightly higher, beginning around £19.99. Meanwhile, easyJet has launched a sale featuring over 780,000 discounted seats, offering up to 20% off on selected routes. Travelers can find fares from £18.99 on routes such as Gatwick to Alicante, Bristol to Malaga, and Luton to Barcelona, with October flights to Palma available from £15.99.
Wizz Air is also expanding its footprint in the Spanish market, with plans to establish new bases in Valencia and Madrid come November. This expansion is set to heighten competition with Ryanair by adding more routes. Not to be left out, Spanish airlines are in the fray as well. Vueling is cutting prices by up to 20% on 110,000 seats, offering international fares from €16. Iberia is providing domestic flights starting at €24 and selected European destinations from €29, while Air Europa’s anniversary sale offers flights from €25.
These fare reductions largely target boosting travel after the bustling summer months. However, travelers should note that the most economical tickets generally include only a small under-seat bag, with additional fees for seat selection, cabin luggage, and checked baggage.
